Liquid Story Binder XE Tutorial: Listings...
 


Listings sort files in collapsible tree format. Add files under parent headings, or even parent files. There is no limit to Listing's structure.

From the main window, select 'New Listing...' from the 'Create' menu.





Give your Listing a title, and click 'OK !!'.





An empty Listing window will open.

Choose 'Add Files' from the 'Items' menu to begin adding your existing documents.





The 'File and Item Selection' dialog will open. Select the documents you wish to include in your new Listing, and click the 'Make Selection' button.





Your files are added to the Listing.





Add captions and headers simply by pressing ENTER. Notice the edit box at the base of the window. Here you can enter or paste your text.





Sort using the arrow icons found in the Listing's toolbar.

Click the 'Move Right' icon to indent or 'nest' selected items.

The selected items are now nested. Notice the small minus (-) sign next to the parent item above the selected items.

Click this minus (-) sign to hide or 'collapse' nested items directly below.





Click the plus (+) sign to reveal or 'expand' hidden items.





Double-click any item to view the listed document.





Quickly create and add new documents to your Listing using the 'Create' menu.





Use a Listing to turn your Chapters into a Manuscript.

Choose 'Build Manuscript' from the 'Manuscript' menu.

All Chapters within the Listing will be combined to form a single, unified document ready for printing or export.
